Laser Engraving on Anet A8 Plus 3D Printer Hi, I'm KDH. This post is about making my Anet A8 Plus into an multi-purpose 3D printer that can engrave with laser. Before I start the post, I was able to do all of this work thanks to an user named vandenmar who posted about laser engraving on prusa MK3.

I picked up the idea from a post here (link follows). Now the laser finally arrived from China, and here is my progress so far.
Opened the parcel, and OF COURSE the content looks different from what I ordered, and OF COURSE there are no schematics included. But we will see what's what later I guess.
Removed extruder and cabling as well as the heatbed connection. Attached the laser module to the now empty carriage, laser was already connected to the controler board.
Now comes the tricky part. The plan was to connect the boards power in to the 12 V of the Anet Board. I had some 2pin connectors in my spare part box, so that was easy.
Now there are two connectors left, a 2pin and a 3pin. I assume the 2pin is the PWM one that is to be connected to Fan1 on the anet board. Unfortunately both connectors on the laser board are labeled with PWM/TTL, so I am not sure if the 2pin connector can take the PWM signal, so just give it a try.
When starting up the A8, the laser fires immediatly on full Power. It does not react to the Fan setting at all. Maybe I used the wrong fan Port? So switching to fan2 but getting same result. Pulling the cable completely so the 2pin ist connected at all, same result.
So now I do call out the hive mind. What would be the logical next step? Switch the polarity on the 2pin? Connect the 3pin to Fan1? How would I do that, which Pins of the 3pin to connect to the fan1?
